Meet Ethan Knowlden

Ethan Knowlden is a legal and business leader with over 35 years of domestic and international transaction experience.

Ethan grew up in a small town with one traffic light.  He began his career as a financial analyst on Wall Street.

After receiving his law degree, Ethan settled in Dallas to practice. The opportunity to move into a leadership role with a biotech company took him to San Francisco, then to London.

Ethan completed his career as part of the management team at a nonprofit pharmaceutical organization. Closing his professional chapter, he moved to Scottsdale in 2018 and began serving his community, as President of the DC Ranch Community Council, President of the Scottsdale Industrial Development Authority and a board member of the Arizona Housing Coalition.

He remains a member of the State Bar in Arizona and Texas.  Ethan is blessed by the love and support of Leanne, his wife of 18 years, and his son, Cole.

PRIORITIES

Restore Fiscal Responsibility

No more transportation grant giveaways, wasteful spending on pointless litigation, or careless decision-making that puts the City on the wrong end of multimillion-dollar verdicts.

Limit Development

Let’s avoid making traffic in Scottsdale any worse. Limit development to what is in the General Plan, nothing more.

Keep Scottsdale Safe

Adequate first responder staffing, training and equipment are paramount to our safety. So is planning for the future of our water supply and addressing the effects of rising temperatures.

Protect the Preserve

Let’s keep our promise to the voters that established the Preserve, the City’s most precious asset. Complete the original plan, protect it from non-native species, and defend it from wildfire risk.

VALUES-BASED LEADERSHIP

Leading with Integrity, Humility, and Respect, Serving Scottsdale in Collaboration with its Residents, Visitors, and Business Leaders, Persevering through Difficulties, and remaining Curious and Creative to achieve Balance and Joy for us all.
